Northern Piedmont Sports Club (NPSC) Recreational Volleyball offers a wonderful opportunity for both new and returning players to develop and improve their volleyball skills in a supportive, fun environment. With a focus on inclusivity, NPSC ensures that every player, regardless of their experience level, has the chance to participate and enjoy the game.

• As a new policy, starting with the Spring 2025 NPSC rec volleyball season, athletes who play 15U and higher travel volleyball or have played on their high school volleyball team are no longer eligible to play recreational volleyball. For other opportunities to be involved in NPSC's volleyball program, such as assistant coaching or refereeing, these athletes should contact the Volleyball Committee at [email protected].
  

The Recreational Volleyball League is for boys and girls ages 7–18 who are interested in having fun and learning to play volleyball. The League emphasizes rotating serve patterns, which allows all players to experience different positions on the court, ensuring a dynamic and engaging experience. League rules are available here. 

The season lasts for 9 weeks, and each team (regardless of division) will practice once a week for an hour. Elementary Division teams will play 8 games.  Middle and High School Division teams will play 7 regular season games and  a fun, tournament-style season ending competition, giving players the opportunity to showcase their skills in a friendly, competitive setting.

• Team Placement: Players in the Middle and High School Divisions will participate in a recreational draft after which coaches will select their teams using a "snake draft" system. Players who are not able to attend the evaluation will still be assigned to teams using a hat pick system.
