Northern Piedmont Sports Clubs United Travel Academy program looks to elevate the training of children 8 to 12 years old (2013 to 2017). This program is to help athletes who are looking to improve their soccer skills and to help them qualify to play at the travel level in the future.
This program is a 6-week program.
Soccer Curriculum:
- Introduction of basic soccer fundamentals such as passing, dribbling, shielding, and soccer moves
- Crossing, finishing, and shooting activities
- Players will play small game tournaments (3v3 or 4v4); half field scrimmages during practice days
Soccer Games:
- There will NOT be games during weekends, throughout the season
- This is so PLAYERS can participate in the NPSC Recreational Program too which offers games on Saturdays.
- There is a possibility of having 1-2 scrimmages throughout the season, on the training days
Weekends are free for players to participate with their rec or travel leagues
Age Groups:
- Ages 8-12
- Open to travel and recreational players
- Players will be assessed within their age groups and split into groups.
- Level of play and age will be considered
- NPSC coaching staff and DOC will make the assessments
2024-2025 Travel Next-Gen Tryouts (U9 s and U12s Boys and Girls Age Groups
- The NPSC Academy Program will also serve as the first step for the Fall 2024-2025 travel tryouts!!
Coaching Staff:
- Club's Director of Coaching will develop and oversee the NPSC Academy Program
- NPSC hired coaching staff will lead the sessions.
