FORMAT
Our event will consist of pool play (2 sets per match). All teams make playoffs. Seeded playoffs (best 2 out of 3). All teams are guaranteed 4 games at this event.
The first matches of the day will begin at the indicated times. All other times are approximate with matches beginning 10 minutes after the final whistle of the preceding match.
INFORMATION
Teams will need to provide the following: an R2, 2 line judges, a libero tracker, and a scorer.
NPSC will provide R1 officials. However, all teams must be prepared to Up Ref should the need arise during competition.
Competition balls will be provided. Please bring your own warm up balls and ball carts.
The Piedmont Classic will place out 1st and 2nd in the gold and silver bracket and 1st and the bronze bracket. A team award will also be awarded to 1st in the gold division.
Concessions will be available for sale onsite.
Tournament apparel will be available for pre-sale only
ENTERING THE FACILITY
~ALL SPECTATORS ages 12 and up must have a ticket to enter the facility. Tickets will be sold the day of the event.
~DOORS OPEN AT 7:15am for coaches and players only
~DOORS OPEN AT 7:30AM for spectators *DO NOT enter the building until 7:30 in order to give coaches and athletes a clear path into the facility.
~TICKETS are $6 per spectator ages 12 and up. We will accept cash and card.
~All spectators under the age of 16 must be supervised at all times. Children left unattended anywhere in our facility (including camping areas) is not allowed.
~When entering the facility, you will want to enter through the double glass doors located on the side of the school across the from stadium.
FACILITY OVERVIEW:
Prior to arriving at our facility please keep these specific rules in mind:
*NO ANIMALS OTHER THAN ADA CERTIFIED SERVICE ANIMALS ARE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY.
*NO FOOD TABLES OR COOKING/SERVING APPLIANCES ARE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY.
*SPECTATORS ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN OUR SPECTATOR SEATING AREAS.
*ALL SPECTATOR ITEMS MUST fit in your lap or be stored at the team’s camping area.
SPECTATORS, COACHES, OR PLAYERS NOT FOLLOWING FACILITY RULES WILL BE ESCORTED OUT OF THE FACILITY.
Roster:
As a JVA event we will accept a printed copy of either a USAV or AAU roster. Digital copies will not be accepted.
A team representative must check-in with the tournament director immediately upon arrival. At this time the team representative will note any absences from the presented roster.
Proof of a player's age should be available upon request.
Event Policy:
Payment must be received by the late registration date. If paying by credit card, teams will have 48 hours after receiving their “accepted email” to make their payment.
**The Piedmont Classic is affiliated with JVA which will not qualify teams for other organizations’ competitions at the regional or national level**
JVA allows for USAV and AAU memberships to be used and will accept USAV and AAU background checks and Safesport certifications.
All tournament results are entered into AES for rankings.
All tournament updates and changes will be communicated to Club Directors and Coaches via emails sent via AES. Please ensure you have added all necessary email addresses to AES in order to stay up to date on all tournament communication.
Anyone not in full compliance will be denied entry to and participation in the Event and will NOT be entitled to any refund or credit
